Val Young Glass Val graduated with BA(Hons) - glass from Edinburgh College of Art and HND(public art) - metal from Edinburgh's Telford College. She has won awards such as "best work in glass at eca degree show" from the Scottish Glass Society and "student of the year" for artistic metalwork at ETC. Regeneration and recycling of materials is high on her agenda. She continually experiments with technique to develop ways of bringing texture, movement, spontaneity and light into her work. Val's work is mostly sculptural and abstract. It varies in size from small scale items of jewellery to large architectural pieces.
Lindean Mill Lindean Mill Glass is the partnership of David Kaplan and Annica Sandstrom. David Kaplan started blowing glass in the USA, then trained at Edinburgh College of Art and at Orrefors Glass School, before working professionally in Sweden. Annica Sandstrom studied glass and ceramic in Sweden. The glass studio is internationally renowned for beautifully designed contemporary tableware and an ever changing collection of individual vessels, plates and panels. The work can be seen in major public and private collections in the UK.
