The CROSSING BORDERS Executive Committee kindly request the pleasure of your company at an exclusive reception on Thursday 1st July, 6-8pm at Buy Design Gallery, 1 Harestanes Craft workshops, by Ancrum.
Crossing Borders is the public face and networking facility of over 100 local artists and craft makers in the area, and will operate its third annual Art Trail event on 3rd-5th September 2010, where members of the public have the opportunity to travel through the Borders and North Northumberland to visit artists in studios and galleries throughout the area.
Evaluation of feedback from the 2009 event suggested that approximately £100,000.00 in secondary spend was generated for local businesses in the area by visitors to the Art Trail, and we would like to capitalise on that trend during the 2010 Art Trail by dovetailing marketing opportunities and including more information about local businesses in our Art Trail guide booklet. We hope you will take this opportunity to come along, meet our committee and members, and find out how you can benefit from supporting the Art Trail. We hope to see you there!

Brian, Joanne, Jeanette, Lara and Ewan all stood the heat in the garden on Saturday to produce some beautiful wooden knives and spoons. There were a few blisters, but plenty smiles and new skills learnt. Everyone went away with product and respect for how some wooden utensils were made in the past. They will hopefully never look at a spoon in the same way again. Well done everyone, brilliant effort. We hope to see you back for another one of Keiths engaging courses at Buy Design soon.
