First really hard frost this morning. So it’ll be out to our favourite covert to gather up some sloes tomorrow.
Amazing shot taken above the gallery by Richard Strathie this summer. He was looking for evidence of the stone circle of Harestanes. Can you see anything ? Good shot of the gallery.
The work of Tom Ewing can always be seen hanging in the gallery. Dubbed “Scotland’s new colourist” by Eoin he has just brought in these two stunning oils of the Teviot valley just west of the gallery. If you know the Borders, Ancrum or Jedburgh - we know you will want to see these paintings close up.
We have always supported the sustainable and ethical approach to Scotland’s natural and human resource. Our support goes further than our own makers, timber supplies and community woodlands. We have been active followers and fund raisers for Social and multi benefit forestry around the world for over 40 years!!! Great organisations like Reforesting Scotland is one of them.
The Big Tree Society Courses regularly held throughout the year are always fully booked. It looks like we are going to be booked through until June 2019. Timber Tokens or gift vouchers are available on the Big Tree website. They make a great surprise present for partners, friends or colleagues. Have a look at the amazing range and list of courses for yourself. www.thebigtreesociety.co.uk
We always have beautiful willow basket work and artworks in the gallery. Three great makers Lise Bech, Catherine Davies and Anna Liebmann are represented throughout the year.
